East Lansing, (MI) - The WFF was well represented at the Spartans Opening game of the season against Toledo on September 3rd. Tim McClorey and Mike Higgins rolled out their first major tailgate of the 2026 season.MSU beat the Rockets 30-20.
Green Way, (WI) - Brian Broderick and his Posse traveled to historic Lambeau Field September 6th to watch the first ever College Football game in the NFL Stadium. Notre Dame took on the Wisconsin Badgers in the Shamrock Classic. The Irish hammered the Badgers 41 - 13.

The Toronto Blue Jays have made their first pick of day two of the 2026 MLB Draft. With the 161st overall pick, the Blue Jays selected right-handed relief prospect Nolan Higgins from Michigan State University.Born in Commerce, Michigan, Higgins stands at 6’4”, 215 lbs and moved into a relief role in his senior year at the school. Last season, he appeared in 27 games, giving up 26 earned runs over 45 innings of work for a 5.20 ERA. More importantly, his strikeout rate jumped significantly, jumping from 13.1% in 2025 to 30.1% in 2026, while his BB% dropped from 12.5% to 6.3%. That gave him a 3.93 FIP, the best mark of his career. The 22-year-old, who just celebrated his birthday on July 5th, has seemed to find a niche in a relief role. His career-best season before 2026 was in his freshman season in 2023, where he had a 6.56 ERA and 6.50 FIP in 46.2 innings of work, posting a 19.4 K% and 12.3 BB%.According to MLB.com’s broadcast, Higgins sits 93-95 mph with the heater, and touches as high as 98 mph, with a breaking ball which can either be described as a slider or curveball depending on who you speak to. The Spartans played three Big Ten Tournament games, winning two before falling in their third. Higgins recorded the final outs in the two victories, striking out four over one and two-thirds innings. Higgins is a senior reliever, which means that he’ll clearly be under-slotted in this position. New York, (NY) - June 29, 2026Plymouth Boss Brian Broderick and two of his Posse Executives (Jimmy B and Katie B) attended the New York Yankee home game against the Detroit Tigers. Casey Mize matched his career high with ten strikeouts as the Tigers beat the sloopy Yankees 7-3. Broderick was in NYC to spark season ticket interest for the 2026 Posse WFF Season.

June, 2026It has been a busy Spring for Mike and Monica Higgins with two Seniors closing chapters in their athletic careers. Nolan just finished his time at Michigan State where the 6'4 flame throwing pitcher Captained the Spartans to a quarter final game at the Big Ten Tournament against USC. MSU became the first 12 seeded team to advance in Tournment play.Nolan was the teams ace out of the bullpen. He was a team leader in strikeouts and finished off Purdue and Iowa in the Big Ten Tournament as the Spartans advanced. Mike was along for the ride all season and was in Omaha to see Nolan's final college game.Nolan has a number of major league tryouts this summer.
Monica missed the Big Ten Baseball Tournament because she was following Orchard Lake St. Mary's High School Senior star Riley who was just named to the All Regional Softball team. Riley helped lead OLSM to a Catholic League Title - a MHSAA District Title and a Regional Championship game. St. Mary's beat Toledo St. Ursula 1-0 for the CHSL Crown then shutout Notre Dame Prep to capture the District Championship. St. Mary's lost to Armada in the Regional Title Game. Armada went on to win the Division II State Softball Championship.Riley was a team leader at the plate - batting .400 and was a defensive standout in center field.Riley will be continuing her academic and athletic career this fall at Hope College. Mike and Monica can now get some rest!
